When I first stepped into the land of
Cyberjaya, the
Intelligent City, my first impression is; Ohh, it’s just a forest with
few office buildings,
few residential buildings and
few
educational buildings. It took approximately about an hour to reach
Cyberjaya from my home in Cheras if I drive safely. Far, isn’t it? Too
bad, the campus I’m studying is in Cyberjaya, known as the so-called
nucleus of Multimedia Science Corridor (MSC).

Three years ago, I am still new to Cyberjaya and the time I am in the
city is just for attending classes and having meals with friends even
till now. Nothing much to explore in this city mainly of forest, and by
night, Cyberjaya would be like a dead city with
no students attending classes,
no workers attending works,
nothing
at all, maybe left some groups of foreigners party-ing in their
respective hostels. Anyway, it’s a very peaceful, quiet and clean city
since there is not many living in the city. No crowded moment, except
during lunch time in restaurants.

This will be my last year of study in Cyberjaya, and currently I spotted so many
projects under construction in
the city; mainly mixed use developments with shop lots and high rise
residential buildings. By the time all these projects completed which
would took about four to five years, I must have already graduated long
time ago, even working somewhere already. So, the conclusion is I can’t
enjoy those luxury living, or variety of restaurants to-be-opened in
these developments when completed.
It would be very good for our juniors’ juniors (Haha…even our juniors
would have graduated) to enjoy all these. The city would be then turned
into a new city where we can live, work and play, a city full of
entertainment, unlike now, a boring city with not even a single shopping
mall (unless you want to consider a small leisure street called as
Street Mall as a mall…lol) There are even new office buildings under
construction in Cyberjaya, including some newly-completed green
buildings with distinctive designs.
Today, only for today, I spotted more than 3 advertisements regarding
the residential projects in Cyberjaya in newspaper, one even just
beside my campus called as
The Place, which is going to be a twin towers of residences of over 20 floors each and commercial shop lots with green features.

Another project is called
Mirage by the Lake. What a
cool name. It is poised to be one of the most nature-inspired
architecture in the country with cascading condominiums towards the
beautiful Perdana Lake.

Another project is semi-detached resort homes…yes, resort homes in an area to be called as
Garden Residence in Cyberjaya.

Another outstanding housing project is
Symphony Hills,
a music-themed luxury houses. I have visited the show houses for this
projects and the exteriors are nice, but the interiors are more splendid
in terms of design.

And also not to forget some others such as
Shaftsbury Square; a complex of grade-A offices and serviced apartments. This is going to be the biggest high rise project in Cyberjaya.

Few other projects I’m not so familiar with:
Trillium Resort Residences; offering scenic lake view of Perdana Lake.
Garden Plaza; Serviced Suites, Lifestyle Shops…another big project!
Serin Residency
D’ Pulze Cyberjaya
SummerGlades @ Perdana Lakeview West
The Arc Residence

Now, it seems that Cyberjaya starts developing!
A lot of projects in just a small city! Too late for us, the current students in Limkokwing University. It is really going to be a
nice place to study, work, play and live! But
definitely not now yet!
